1975 CUSTOM BUILT HARDTAIL, Honest Charley Flathead V8 MotorcycleVehicle DescriptionNew bike that sparkles. It does have few small scuffs and/or chips from being pawed on the showroom floor but these are very minor as evidenced in the photos.About Flathead MotorcyclesFlathead Ford engines are vintage 1937-1940. Engines are inspected and rebuilt with new rings, bearings, timing gears and valve guides as necessary for dependable service.Fuel range is 20-30 miles per gallon. Check fuel after approximately one hour.At 60 mph engines turn approximately 2,700-2800 RPM.Although overheating is generally not a problem, air must flow through the radiator for cooling. Motorcycles are equipped with electric fans & coolant recovery.Circuit protection: Fuses are concealed within head lamp.Engine oil: 20W50 or straight 50W.Transmission oil: 85/140 gear oil, 1 quart capacityTransmission can be removed to service clutch with engine in frame and back wheel in position.Valve service can be accomplished with engine in frame.Flathead motorcycles are sold as is without warranty (expressed or implied). Fishtail exhaust exits.Fuel System: Vintage Holley Model 94 two barrel carburetor concealed beneath leather panel with electric fuel pump. Tank features approximate four gallon capacity including reserve.Cooling:50/50 water and antifreeze mixture with radiator, twin water pumps, 7 pound pressure cap. Electric fan and coolant recovery.Electrical:Delco 12 volt alternator. Master disconnect switch.Ignition:Key switch with Mallory Unilite distributor and coil.Battery:12 volt dry charge, positioned under seatLighting: Vintage style headlight, High/Low beam with High beam indicator.
