1986 Honda VT1100C SHADOW,1986 Honda Shadow VT1100C -- mechanically sound and runs good. I just returned from riding it on a 2800 mile trip through No. California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada, and it ran perfectly. Loaded with gear, tent, sleeping bags, etc. it averaged about 35 mpg throughout the trip. Unloaded it normally averages about 33-35 mpg around town and 40-42 mpg on the highway. - Cosmetically, on a scale of 1-10 it's about a 6 or 7. The paint is original, and there are plenty of flaws, chips, etc. that can be found, but it's still a good looking bike that polishes up pretty nice and always gets a lot of comments. - When I bought the bike there was evidence that in a previous lifetime the bike had gone down, but judging from the damage (things like a scraped mirror, bent turn signal, etc.) it apparently wasn't too serious - probably dumped in a slow speed turn. The frame and forks are straight, however, and the bike handles great. I have replaced all of the damaged pieces and there are no signs of having gone down except for a golf-ball sized dent in the gas tank (you can see it in the pictures) and a scraped corner on the brake master cylinder housing. - The only issue with the bike that I am aware of is a slight oil leak from the rear final drive gear oil seal. I only noticed it on the recent trip, and I am guessing it won't show up again unless its ridden at highway speeds for several hundred miles at a time. I only had to add about a tablespoon of oil to the drive after the 2800 mile trip, and since I've been back I haven't seen any signs of leakage at all. - 42,750 miles - Fresh oil and filter change - Registration good until March 2010 - Recent tune-up; compression test 125# in both cylinders - Official Honda Shop Manual included - Original tool kit included - National Cycle Cruiseliner Hardbags - Kuryakyn Bullet Light Rear Turn Signal Bar - National Cycle PlexiFairing 3 windshield - Kuryakyn Iso throttle grips - Vista Cruise throttle lock - Progressive 418 Shocks (this lowered the bike - the seat height is now 28.75 inches) - EBC Pro-Lite rotors and Vesrah pads, SS braided lines (new @ 37,449 mi.) - EBC rear brake shoes (new @ 38,950 mi.) - Like new Dunlop D404 tires front & rear (new @ 39,174 mi.) - PIAA H4 High-Performance Halogen Bulb - Star White (headlight upgrade) - Other accessories: Formotion clock, EMGO mirrors, EMGO master cylinder covers $2400, 9512028460
